Architectural Design

• A custom home design
  Why? This is why you came to us in the first place! This is the output of the personalized service you will receive from us and is inclusive of the construction documentation necessary for your builder to construct your home.
• 3D renderings of interior and exterior views
  Why? Most people have a difficult time translating a 2D drawing on paper into a realistic image in their head. Our photorealistic renderings will help you evaluate the home's design and finishes before it's built.
• Optional Specifications
  Why? You may want to specify certain materials or products that accomplish energy, air quality, and water goals. However, we won't leave you to do that yourself; we'll help you sort through the zoo of options to pick the right products for you.
• Optional Certifications
  Why? LEED-H, Energy Star, NAHB Green Building standards, we can do them all.

  Energy Design

• Energy modeling
  Why? You want a home that will perform in as well as it possibly can-energy modeling allows us to predict energy consumption and select the best combination of components for your budget.
• Forecast month to month utility costs for entire year
  Why? You can get an idea of what your home's operating expenses will look like. We'll also compare against a code-built version of your home so you can see your savings. Our homes generally have utility bills 45-65% of homes built to code and can be designed for zero utility bills.
• Full HVAC design (Heating, cooling, and ventilation systems)
  Why? A tight home needs to be properly heated, cooled, and ventilated for good indoor air quality and comfort. One of the most common missteps in homebuilding is the improper sizing of HVAC equipment. We will right size the systems to minimize utility costs and maximize equipment life.
• Solar electric and solar thermal system schematics, sizing, and positioning
  Why? If you want to take advantage of solar energy for electricity or hot water, we'll be able to integrate this the placement of these features into the home, both functionally and aesthetically.

  Financial Analysis

• Cost/Benefit analysis
  Why? When paired with outputs from the energy model and estimates from your builder, we can help you select the product that has the most bang for your buck. For example, we can help you decide if the triple pane windows is really a better choice than the higher efficiency furnace.
• Research of available federal/state/utility rebates and tax incentives
  Why? We'll do the legwork to identify the incentives that are relevant to your home, whether for renewable energy, water or energy efficiency, or another feature of your home.
