One of ZED's core beliefs is that health, sustainability, and energy efficiency should be integral pieces of every home and building. Implementation of ZED recommendations will typically lead to higher durability, lower maintenance, less water consumption than most homes & buildings built in the United States, and the presence of healthier indoor air quality for the occupants.
ZED can also facilitate a certification process and adhere to a specific published standard. ZED has experience with numerous standards including Passive House, LEED for Homes, LEED-Existing Building, LEED-New Construction, Energy Star, ES Indoor Air, ES Lighting, and NAHB Green Building. Skill sets on staff include: HERS Rater, Energy Star Partner, LEED Accredited Professional, LEED-H Green Rater, Passive House Consultants in training, and NAHB Green Verifier.
Choices about sustainability often come down to values and priorities. Clients, such as building owners, individuals, general contractors, developers, and architects typically leverage ZeroEnergy Design's depth of knowledge to achieve the level of ˜green' they prefer. Acting as a client resource, ZED addresses Energy Performance, Indoor Air Quality, Water Efficiency, Material Selection, and Certification Administration of homes and buildings.
ZED is administering certification of homes and buildings in Massachusetts locations: Orleans, Truro, Framingham, Martha's Vineyard, Concord, as well as in California, Vermont, Florida, and Maine.
