New Project Case: Brookline Deep Energy Retrofit
This Brookline renovation demonstrates how an existing home can be thoughtfully transformed to meet the needs of a modern family without sacrificing the character of its neighborhood. After relocating from California, our clients wanted a permanent home where their children could grow up close to family, within a walkable community and exceptional school district. Working together from opposite coasts, we helped evaluate multiple properties before identifying a home whose structure, orientation, and location made it the ideal candidate for a comprehensive renovation.
What followed was a Deep Energy Retrofit that reimagined the house from the inside out. The redesigned layout brings abundant natural light into open, flexible living spaces while preserving the home's traditional exterior presence. Behind the walls, a high-performance building enclosure, all-electric mechanical systems, triple-pane windows, rooftop solar, and battery storage dramatically improve comfort, resilience, and energy performance.
